Autumn Winter 2016 sees Nicholas Kirkwood turn the concept of a seasonal campaign on its head. Searching through Instagram under the hashtag ‘#mykirkwoods’, Kirkwood found himself deeply inspired by the abstract styles and forms in which his shoes were photographed by followers of the brand. After compiling a whole series of images of fans wearing Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, he developed the idea of the women becoming the subject of the campaign.

Having been drawn to the rawness of the images taken by the Nicholas Kirkwood followers, Kirkwood was inspired to personally select fifteen fans to choose their favourite styles from the Autumn Winter 2016 collection. Asked to express themselves organically by taking personal photographs of their chosen shoes, images consist of an array of colours, textures and surroundings whilst ensuring to showcase the versatility of the silhouettes that Nicholas Kirkwood is famed for.
